Welcome to the IIBA® Chicagoland Chapter
With the changing face of IT, the Business Analyst (BA) role is evolving and becoming a more prominent position within companies. Business Analysts are playing a critical role throughout the business solution development lifecycle. BA's are the static link between the business and IT departments -- they must be able to speak both languages. To build Business Analyst awareness and promote growth, we introduce the Chicagoland Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®).
The IIBA® is a relatively new association and growing quickly. The IIBA® is setting standards and creating a certification process to generate more formal recognition of the Business Analyst position and its value in today's organizations. The IIBA® is creating an organization for Business Analysts equivalent to what the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification has done for Project Managers.
